Husband loves his- I returned mine for an Osprey Fairview.
BACKGROUND: We’re 56/57 and used these to travel Europe for four months. Trains, planes, and Ubers; as well as lots of walking up/down stairs in stations and to fifth floor Airbnbs. We took a carryon and small personal bag each, no checked items. This has some definite pluses: it can be rolled, carried by handle, or worn as a backpack. It fits carryon standards in USA. Packs like a suitcase and is VERY durably and well made. Hubs likes the fact that the wheels are not against your back to hit clothing when you wear it as a backpack (although he rarely wore it).He uses compression packing cubes and it is great for him. I returned mine for a different style as it was just too inflexible and tight for my belongings. I got the osprey fairview instead (technically both are 40l but the Fairview has more “give”. I like that his has wheels but it is not as comfortable worn (no hip belt and not as adjustable on the back). I thought it awkward, like I was wearing a duffle on my back.Luckily, once we’re packed he can wear mine and I can pull his on the occasion when I’m cranky, hangry, or have a sore back. LOLLove the brand though!!

Durable!
We rolled these for miles it seems!! We went on a 14 day trip, went through two airports in London and one in Greece, we through them in the back of busses, taxis and even checked them in! Talk about a beating!! And they were stuffed! These were expensive, but really versatile and durable!! They had lots of space and plenty of pockets. We had previously purchased some rolling carry ons for our last trip here on Amazon and they cracked hadn’t even made it on the plane yet! These truly endured and they still look new even after our trip! Totally recommend these!

Mixed Feelings
I have mixed feelings about the Osprey Daylite Carry-On 40L. I bought it for my recent 15-day trip to Europe as my only luggage, needing something compact to avoid airline issues while holding enough clothes for the entire trip. The carry-on is compact and appears smaller than it actually is. I previously used a North Face Rolling Thunder 22in Carry-On with the same 40-liter capacity and intended to replace it with the Osprey. Unfortunately, my expectations fell short. The Osprey couldn't hold as much as I had hoped. I filled the Osprey to its maximum capacity, even removing the back strap for extra space. Then, I transferred everything to the North Face Rolling Thunder. To my surprise, the North Face not only held everything but also allowed room for a few more shirts and additional items, which the Osprey couldn't accommodate.Ultimately, I decided to take the North Face to Europe instead of the Osprey. The only advantage of the Osprey is its lighter weight, but it doesn't have the capacity to handle more items. I really like this bag, but it wasn't able to hold as many clothes as I had hoped. This is something to consider before purchasing this bag.

Deal Breakers
First, great materials and workmanship. Nice lightweight, but sturdy bag. The top and side zippered pockets were a good feature. But… two aspects were deal breakers for me. The entry to the main (large) compartment is a U-shaped zipper with the open end of the U on at the top of the bag. (Look closely at the photos to see what I mean.). Seems this design was to accommodate the backpacker straps that attach to the front of the bag, not the usual back of the bag. These straps are easily removed. Overall, It seemed an unnatural configuration. I would have designed the zipped entry as a ‘D,’ to allow better access to stuff at the top of the main compartment. Second, the zipper for the main compartment was tight and required two hands to zip or unzip. It was not the easy and burly zipper such as on my older Porter 47. I wanted to like this bag, but I returned it.

Well made and rolls easy
This fit everything I needed for a 3 day trip and my osprey daylite plus backpack fits right on the handle perfectly. It did get heavy lugging it around on the 2 wheels after 2 miles, but I intentionally got this style.

Just finished 2+ weeks in France with this, still Love it.
Light pack with little wasted space (the wheels and handle don't take up a ton of internal space). It also doesn't waste a lot of space on organization pouches. There's the one behind the front pouch, the top one and the side big one. It's enough.Only criticism I have, the cinch straps could be move an inch in on both sides, as they seem to be too far to the outside by a smidge, and slide off my stuff, but it's not a big deal at all, you can shift them in as you cinch.Otherwise, the grab handle almost has a bungee effect because of how it's attached, so yanking the bag up isn't as hard on your back as it would be otherwise which is nice. The wheels are nice and quiet on rough streets and cobblestones(compared to my companion's for sure!). The bag is that great type that you have it full, realize you didn't pack a sweater and a hoodie, open up, add them, NOW it's full. Realize you'd rather NOT wear your boots on the plane, swap those for the shoes, NOW it's full!.... pick up some more stuff, stuff that in TOO lol. just keeps eating more and more!I ended up overweight though and had to check it, it travelled checked just fine, not a mark.I tried a dozen suitcases before keeping this one, and I do not regret that decision at all. Highly recommend.OH, and it's Osprey, so if something DOES go amiss, their support is great!

Nice to have option of roller or backpack use.
This bag worked well for our recent trip. The backpack feature was helpful on the longer walks with rough, wet sidewalks.

Exactly 22" / 56 CM.
Osprey is a great bag and guaranteed with free repairs. I measured this bag twice from the bottom of the wheels to the top when on its side. It is "slightly" less than 22". 56 CM, the international standard, equals 22.04 ". My wife was looking over my shoulders to make sure that my measurements were accurate. One of us was switching from the Osprey 40L backpack because of back issues and this is the perfect alternative. Spinners do not work well on cobblestones in Europe (not to mention cheaply made wheels) and these wheels are thicker and better made than all of the other stuff. But most important, it does fit International Standards.
