Brilliant Supplier & good printer
I needed to replace my old epson ink jet and first went for an HP inkjet but the print quality was dreadful i.e. almost as bad as the epson which had started printing blues as a mix of dramatically different versions of blue. So decided to spend abit more to get a laser (better quality & lower running costs). The Xerox is a known brand and was at the lower end of the price range. It is a heavy beast but as my shelf is strong enough and you do not move it very often I deceided that was not relevant. Got off to a bad start as the delivery service was PostOffice and they claimed to have made delivery when I had been in all day so I knew they are in error but this gave the supplier a chance to shine and show why a good supplier is worth a lot - he responded quickly and chased this up and it was resolved in a couple of days. I did then have an issue getting the printer setup - the process was better than for HP, which left you on your own to find the drivers on-line. For whatever reason I ended up with possibly the wrong drivers installed and found that although it did print it could take 5 or 10 minutes (actually) to print a single page. I ended up reainstalling drivers and having to cleanout the spool folder to resolve the print delay. The print quality is good but can not say if its better or worse than the competition, and the prints do come through nice and quickly. The scanner works well and the feeder copes well with non standarded size documents - again I can not really comment on the quality: it is more than good enough for scanning documents for filing.I will need to wait and see how long the cartiages last before I can comment on running costs but again for my level of use it should not be too critical but should be cheaper than my old Epson. At the end of the day my only gripe is the software support - the installation issues may have been my fault but I have been doing this sort of thing for decades and do not remember having such problems previously. Also there was no scanning application supplied with it so again the out of the box experience is poor as you need to go hunting. Can suggest "NAPS"

Good quality laser printer
Excellent office printer. Quick and not noisy. It does print colours rather dark however, hence the four stars.

Finally a printer scanner that I can use over wifi AND from my phone!
Very happy with this printer. The ink it came with lasted a couple of months, but I only use it occasionally to print. But when it prints its great. Also does double sided so saves paper. The scanner is great too. Enabled me to do a number of business tasks. I would recommend it.

Best printer I've ever owned
Bought this to replace my home office HP Envy inkjet after it let me down for the last time. Will never buy anything HP again after they updated my Envy firmware after I bought it to reject third party inks. This printer feels like a grown up printer, finally lasers are affordable, compact and multifunctional - it's been super reliable, fast, quiet, generally rock solid. Automatic document feeder scanner has proved useful a number of times now.Break free from consumer grade HP junk and buy this machine.
