Wow
Let me start this review by saying I live in the country in the middle of nowhere normally. For the last year I have been living with my girlfriend wife to be. She lives in the city. Though she doesn't notice it and claims she can't even taste a difference between my water and hers, her water is completely Undrinkable to me. Water is my main drink of choice. When I saw this filter to be honest, I wasn't expecting much. One of the main reasons I got it is because the little spigot exactly matches my kitchen sink faucet and I thought that was pretty neat. I thought if it helped a little bit even better but it would fill up the empty hole where the old sprayer used to go.Let me tell you, After it was hooked up I let it run for a few minutes to flush it out . Then I filled up a glass for the test. OMG. Wow. I can actually drink this water with a little ice and not notice the city water taste, I truly cannot believe it. Now with that being said I've only had it going for about two weeks and it still works perfectly. The one thing I'm not sure about is the packaging says the filter cartridge will last for a year. I have never seen a filter that can completely take the taste out of city water and be able to last that long. I'm not going to take you off any stars because I don't know if it will or not. I know it is already surprised me on how well it works so I will have to update if it doesn't last. It's extremely easy to install. You just unhook the cold water supply line going to your faucet and put their adapter on the supply line and hook it back up. Mount the filter. Mount the little spigot. And then there are push connectors to connect the hose to everything. I can't be happier with this product. I will definitely update with the amount of time the filter cartridge lasts

Tired of lugging 5 gallon water bottles?
Review for novete under sink water filter, while the water in N FL may be safe to drink it certainly has an odd taste. We have a water softener but still drink bottled water from a cooler. The 5 gal bottles are a PITA to lug back & forth and we didn't want to spend thousands for a whole house system. As many of the under sink filter reviews all had similar complaints about leaking I thought we'd try this new filter from amazon. What we like about this filter is it comes with its own faucet so we are not filtering cold water through the main faucet to wash hands etc. We will mount it via the soap dispenser hole in the counter. It is available in either white or black, choose the color depending on the decor of your under sink cabinet. It also can be used for filtering refrigerator ice and/or water. We will follow-up in a month (or sooner if issues) thus we start with 4 stars, all parts are included including one filter cartridge but no replacement filters are available for purchase at this time.As a Vine member I did not pay for the product; never the less my review is unbiased.

Quick and Straightfoward install.
took about 30 minutes to install and thats only because getting to the back of my sink is a pain in the butt.Quick, Easy DIY, instructions are helpful though, not really needed if you've ever used a wrench before.I had it put in before my family woke up this morning. The water tastes filtered, to my husband, that means it tastes like plastic, but thats becAuse it lacks the minerals and stuff we have in our regular tap water, which is actually fine, i've tested the water and its good drinking water, but my grandmother, still feels the need to use a Brita and I hate the damn thing. It gets moldy and gross and this is the perfect replacement. Its a good deal I think, a new pitcher filter is $25-$40 depending what you get and thats a plastic pitcher you need to clean and upkeep the filters multiple times a year, this filter is good for about a year and the tap should last a lifetime...i think the filters are like 25-30 bucks, even if they're more, its totaly worth it.

I've seen better.
At first glance, it looks like an excellent filter. It is larger than a regular under-sink filter and comes with an attractive faucet. However, the company website has no mention of this filter, and neither Amazon nor web searches found replacement cartridges. It raises many questions- from long term parts support to product authenticity.I had opportunities to test and review other undersink filters, and this is not the one that impressed me the most. Without mentioning competing brands, I had a filter that was easily twice as large and rated at 22000 gallons. It came with steel braided hoses, but the faucet had to be purchased separately.

Healthier water and plenty of room for my cleaning supplies under the sink!
Now that I've got a full r/o system for the kitchen, I wanted to address the other place I drink water, the bathroom. This under the sink unit is small enough that, there's still plenty of room for all of my cleaning supplies. To be sure, it's not the source of water for my morning brews, soups and other cooking, but knowing I'm doing something to decrease the various impurities in the water coming from outside makes me feel more healthful about taking my vitamins, brushing my teeth, etc. It's totally in line with why I do those things to begin with.Installation is not too bad (as to their claim that you can do it in 3 minutes... um, no). The accessories box includes all the necessary screws, fittings, etc., as well as a handsome RO style faucet. The filter itself hangs off a couple of screws. The faucet fits through a 3/8" hole but comes with a stainless escutcheon that will cover any hole up to about 1 1/2". You'll need a drill to place the screws and to drill a hole in your sink or cabinet if there isn't one you can use.Replacing an old filter I could probably do in 3 minutes (the claimed three seconds, ok...). Unfortunately, the included owners manual is very vague as to when the filter needs to be replaced, stating frequently that the filter lifespan depends on the quality of the incoming water. Also, it instructs to replace the filter if there is a noticeable decrease in flow or a "bad odor". The user is directed to Amazon for Novete's proprietary replacement filters but those don't seem to be available yet. Hopefully soon.
