I first learned of this product from Dr. Ian Dunbar, a respected veterinarian, dog trainer and canine behavior expert. In each of the three educational presentations I attended with Dr. Dunbar, he recommended Ziwi Peak as his preferred dog training treat. i began using it in 2012 and have found that every single dog I worked with was highly motivated when I offered this healthy dog food as a training reward. It is expensive, but worth it.

If I could give this product 10 stars I would. Although it's expensive, the ingredients are unbelievable! If you can afford to give your dog a quality product I highly recommend this product. Even the pickiest of dogs will eat it! Your dog will thank you and their health and fur will benefit from all the quality ingredients. I'd rather have to budget for quality food for my dogs and have less for myself with knowing they are getting the best food available. There's so much terrible food on the market. Please educate yourself on how to read labels and how dog food is made. Want to become educated? Watch the program "pet fooled" and you will never look at dog food the same. And I'd like to thank the company for making such great product and for helping keep the cost within reason so more pet owners can experience a happy, healthy dog. And I appreciate the company partnershiping with Amazon to make this food available to dog owners like myself with easy, hassle free access to outstanding quality dog food.

My pup didn’t care much about food (dog or human), just after a few meals he started alerting for meals a half hour early! I can use kibble for training and on walks and keep his attention. I find his tail wagging more, a prance to his walk, and more cuddly. It’s expensive but seeing the positive difference in my dogs everyday happiness is worth it.

I would honestly give this 5 stars if it wasn't so pricey. No way could I budget this as a full time food. However, I bought this on sale to use as treats and it really is quality ingredients. You can tell it's steam dried because it actually smells like food and hasn't been baked to death. My dog loved chasing his treat toys around when I filled them with this. Would buy again (on sale of course).

Bought this for my Staffordshire. I loved that it was rated high on Dogs Naturally Magazine for 2023. It is very expensive so she gets a raw dog food patty with 1/2 cup of this kibble. What I will be watching is the quality. It originated as a smaller brand but has been acquired by FountainVest Partners, a large private equity firm based in CHINA! When a larger companies buy smaller companies the quality of the product tends to go down hill. It also makes me very nervous buying anything for my pets from China. I almost lost my shitzu who i fed chicken tenders I thought were made in the USA but in tiny print it said made in China. My vet recommended that i not fed my pets anything made in China. So I may give a different kibble a try. You never know when they may change the ingredients.

My dog really enjoyed this Ziwi steam and dried dog food. Every time I open the bag he comes running. I think he can tell that its made with 85% animal ingredients. I love that it promotes a healthy digestive tract with all the natural fiber from the orchard fruits and that it's steam cooked and air dried. Something else I really like about this dog food is the size and texture. I have a smaller aging dog so I worry about giving him larger kibble. But this kibble is just perfect. It's not too big or super hard. Either way my pup really enjoys it. It's a bit pricey but since you don't have to feed your dog the same amount as traditional kibble it's justifiable. It's a premium dog food and it shows.

If I could give more then 5 stars I would! We have an older boxer mix and a younger labradoodle. Our older dog is extremely picky, and has digestion issues. Not only did she love the food, she would sit and stair at the package for more. Our younger labradoodle loved it as well. When you read the ingredients they are far more quality and healthy compared to many other brands. The smell is even better then any other dog food. You want to treat your pet to a healthy, good and tastful meal this should be your go to! Hands down best dog food we have ever got for our furbabies, absolutely recommend! 💯 🐕
