Very nice laptop. But several serious short-shortcomings. I have updated my review after one month of use.A critical deficiency in my view is the power management. It charges to full charge when it pleases, and it will not charge on several of the planes I have been on, which means I couldn't work on long plane rides. This isn't my first 17" laptop and I find this completely unacceptable.It has Windows 10 Home, instead of Pro. I had to buy a separate OS to make up for that. And I also have to buy a standalone battery for traveling. Which means this laptop has come me an extra $400.Another complaint is the curious position of the Windows Key to the right of the space bar and again keyboard wise the configuration of the Delete, Home and End keys. Why in hell do keyboard designers find it appropriate to move keys around when there is enough room to have a standard layout. Anyway, other than that, the laptop is also a little loud out of the box, which worries me a bit for the future when dust accumulates a bit and it starts getting used for more demanding tasks.Other than that, it's a really great zippy laptop and one of the best I could find for a 17" screen and I looked a lot.I really don't recommend buying from iBuyPower. Terrible customer support that wasted my time in emails and calls only to let me down after leading me down the wrong path. Not cool.

This laptop is amazing. I am thoroughly in love with it right out of the box. The backlit screen is one of a kind. The display is crystal clear and impeccably crafted for any and all viewing angles. I would recommend iBuyPower to anyone in the market for a new laptop. I definitely got my money's worth in this setup. I really enjoy the nice upgrades of this particular model. The 32 GB of RAM is always a great inclusion, especially paired with the NVMe SSD upgrade. I will definitely be considering iBuyPower as a first stop when shopping for all my future laptop purchases.

Absolutely love my new laptop! From the beautiful back lit keyboard to the amazing speed of the system. The only thing I could find wrong with this laptop is that the delete key is in an odd spot compared to other laptops, but everything else about this computer is amazing. It's super fast, light weight, and easy to use.

First off..I paid for this myself I buypower did not pay me or give me a discount for this review . (my first time using this company) Ibuypower is amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and professional and friendly! Company! Most of the time I got a response in under an hour. Great advice for recommendations on what device to get. And will work with you to fix an issue. Laptop is beautiful and powerful. I chose this over the Apache pro due to the thunderbolt 3 port. Can always have a more powerful external graphics card at home with the 1060 for portable high performance game play in the road!Don't believe the reviews on the Kaby lake processors being worse. It's 10 percent better the the 6700 on regular use but video playback is where the 7700hq shines, get about an extra hour or 2 of video playback. I haven't had a chance to check on the battery life yet. But will update when I do. Graphics performance is 2-4 percent higher due to the new cpu. Curtousy of Ibuypower they also give you a fresh install.. free from the fps killing bloatware that msi bakes into it. (thumbs up to Ibuypower) they test the machine fully to ensure you get one that is fully functional.Games played all on high settingsGtaV- age 62fps on ultraAstroneer - maxed settings 55fps ( early accessArk survival evolved high settings 42 fps( with view distance and aa down to 2x and shadows at low you can easily push 60fpsWitcher 3 - high 58 fps hair works on off= 65+ fpsOver all its a fantastic machine. Nice and bright large 17 inch display. It's a lot larger then the 15.6 but I feel it worth it for media consumption. I will add pics for comparison! This laptop and company will not disappoint.
