CuberShop Moyu Speed Cube Lube Set Oil, Professional Lubrication for Speed Cubes, Speed Cube Accessories Lubricant for Speed Cubing, Cheap lube for Speed Cube (5mL Moyu lube V1, V2, V3, Pack of 3)

Purchased this lubricant set in hopes of finding a lubricant that performs well on a Rubik's brand cube. Yes, Rubik's does offer speed cubes, and the seller CuberShop has admitted that they have not tested this product on them. My only prior experience with cube lubricant was with GAN Magic Lube which can perform a bit too well in some instances. I tested all three lubricants, the MoYu Lube V1, V2, and V3 on separate Rubik's cubes for comparison purposes. I had high hopes that the V1 lubricant would perform the best as it was advertised as highly recommended. Unfortunately, the V1 lubricant found its way into the cube core and produced heavy friction at the springs in the center pieces, and damaged the plastic mating surfaces. When I reached out to CuberShop regarding the experience I learned that this rather unusual situation was news to them. Even after disassembly, cleaning, and assembly, the cube was not able to be restored. The V2 lubricant proved less troublesome, however, it is very thin and difficult to work with, rapidly flowing away from the applied areas, and going with gravity instead. Cubershop admits that this lubricant takes many solves to produce notable differences and is not as recommended as the other lubricants in the package. Still, some cube users have specific instances where the V2 lubricant is most suited, and is why they include it with the other lubricants. The V3 lubricant can cause binding on the moving surfaces and I personally think it is best used when working on strength training, and not at all for speed. Overall, I expressed concerns over the lack of disclosure in lubricant composition to CuberShop, and requested more transparency to others to reassure the health safety in their products.

I've used these lubricants on my GAN speedcubes as well as to improve some cheapo cubes that I picked up as gifts. They work fine and seem to hold up well over time. I mainly use the V1 but the V3 is nice also. Packaged well in a plastic bag with no leaking. Good value and a nice starter kit for someone just getting into adjusting and customizing cubes.

Once I ordered this product I thought it would take at least 3 days to arrive which I was ok with, but than it changed to another date and so I waited and than again it changed. I had to wait almost a week to get this and I was anxious for it to arrive. The lube bottles came but they are very small I thought they would come in a medium size but it turns out there weren't any sizes for it and I don't think that these 3 bottles would last long for ten dollars. Although I'll give this three stars as its the cheapest I could find.
