I tried three other garlic presses before purchasing this one and the only reason I bought this one was in order to get me through until I could find another and get the money up to buy it. I've had this garlic press for almost three months and it's fantastic. It works on the biggest cloves, it works with the skin still attached to the cloves, it works on thinly sliced ginger. It's a great garlic press. My others would snap at the hinge if I had too big of a clove of garlic in it. I had that happen twice and was beyond frustrated. My third one just broke in the dishwasher. This one I wash by hand and let it air dry. I use this press EVERYDAY and it's still in great shape. For the price it's freaking Amazing! I will purchase another if it breaks in another couple of months because I've spent well over $39 for a single garlic press, only to have it break on me in two months. Just buy it.. that's all I got to say.*** I wanted to update anyone wondering if they should still buy this garlic press. I will let you know that I've owned this for almost 3 years now and I still have the original one I bought. It's in fantastic shape, still does everything I stated above, is still shiny, still working, and still making my dishes more flavorful with the addition of minced garlic. I will DEFINITELY buy this garlic press again IF this one ever breaks, because this one doesn't feel the least bit ready to go.

The media could not be loaded.  Was very impressed with this mincer and so glad I decided to purchase! I was getting so annoyed having to chop up my garlic for our family dinners and I like my garlic finely chopped so it took some time at times but now I have this and I’m done in less than a minute. N the best part is that I have NO MESS! Very easy to clean up! My order arrived before the date I was told. I haven’t got one negative thing to say about this product. Would definitely recommend this to everyone that prefers fresh minced garlic rather than the dried out stuff in the shaker bottles.Also to all Amazon peeps who is reading this, I review my purchases and other Amazon items as much as I can. It's not easy to get the garlic within the presser out however the garlic outside the presser you could always scrape off

Boy what a difference! I had an old garlic press for ages until one day when I was squeezing it and it burst apart sending bits flying in all directions. After trying and failing to fix it I conceded and ordered this one. Now I realize THIS is what a garlic press is supposed to be like. My old one was an imposter. This garlic press is so easy to use and clean, feels very sturdy and heavy duty. I even crushed a piece of fresh ginger in it and that worked wonderfully also! It also doesn’t waste a lot, very good at pushing almost everything through the little holes. Now I wish my old one had exploded sooner 😂

its good and fine but the plate with the teeth moves so it it hits the edge when trying to close it needs to be one piece in that area and not held with a bolt or whatever holds it in place

This is the best item I have invested in. We use a lot of fresh garlic at my house and I so love the ease of how it crushes my garlic and I just let it go in what ever I am cooking. We even use garlic in our eggs. Try it, you might just like it! Lol Really this is so wonderful and just the right size for all my needs. I am sorry I don't have a picture but as soon as I find my camera I will be posting some, because I have bought so much from Amazon and never returned anything.
