This is a good 10 stop ND filter. My photographs frequently have water as part of the subject. This ND filter allows for long exposures and does not add a lot of color cast so the colors I develop in the image are natural looking. The filter threads on easily, snugly and it stays put. It is constructed well and comes in a great protective case. The foam in the case holds the filter snugly but has indentations that aid in your fingers being able to grip the lens to remove it from the case. This is important to me because I often will be changing filters in the field in areas of sand, mud, water, grass, forest floor etc. The lens stays put in the case and doesn't fall out and yet it is easy enough to remove when I need to add the filter in a hurry.

So filters at the very high end can get very expensive. At the low end, they are just complete trash. This slots in a good value range where you can get some REALLY good looking shots and play with different filters and have a good enough filter to allow you to find out which filters are your favorite. Then, If you are a professional photographer, you would probably want to invest in a more expensive filter to make sure there is nothing wrong with any of your shots.As an hobbiest photographer, I will probably just keep this in my bag since there are no easily noticable blemishes in my photos even when I look at them in lightroom or print them out.

Puchased a pair of 82mm Gobe's (CPL and ND1000) for my Canon RF 15-35. The filters are solid and perform well, but i'm having issues with them getting stuck in place. Eventually i'm able to unscrew them, but not without spending some time and effort. It's happened with both filters, so it's not an isolated incident. My one other non-Gobe 82mm filter goes on and off without a problem.I have several other Gobe filters in 72mm and 77mm, and I have not had any such issue.

Before this I got a 9-stop variable ND filter. Returned it due to the X spot at the max level. I went for this and I couldn't be happier.Overall, the product is well constructed. I really like the metal case to protect the filter. Metal ring. Good glass.I'm attaching 2 images. Without and with filter. Look at the lake!! No color distortion. It's just perfect.If you are looking for a good ND filter for long exposure photography, this is a good place to start.This is a 10-stop non variable ND filter.Now that being said, I think it is a little expensive to cover just one lens. I have 4, different filter sizes.One filter is around 40. I could get a filter system to cover all 4 for $100. I have 4 lenses. Do the math.

I bought this filter a few weeks ago after upgrading to a Canon 5D Mark IV. The main lens that I was using was the 24-70mm Canon Lens with a 77mm Filter Size. I bought the 77mm ND Filter with the intentions of using it to learn how to shoot landscapes. I had no experience with ND Filters before and was wanting to learn a new skill. It was my first time using a ND Filter and was extremely easy to use and I love the packing it came in! For its value it was definitely worth it and I loved how my photos came out!

I wanted to get an ND filter to use while filming on those bright sunny days when you're overexposed at anything less than F16. However, this is much too powerful for video work, but would be perfect for long exposure photography as other reviewers have mentioned. When I got the filter, I stuck it on my lens and took it outside to see how it worked. No exaggeration, the image was pitch black on a bright summer day in full sunlight even at F1.4 and shutter 1/60. I had to push the ISO up to 1600 to get it properly exposed, but then you're adding grain which isn't desirable. Still giving it 5 stars though because it works like it should, just doesn't fit my needs.

Well built. Seems to be free of color casts. Fairly priced, Recommended.

El filtro da una calidad muy buena de la imagen, para lentes de gran apertura que en iluminaciones intensas pero manteniendo la apertura am máximo para lograr exquisitos desenfoques (como luz demedio día en exteriores).

Di certo non parliamo di un filtro top di gamma, ma per quanto concerne paesaggistica semplice con fotocamera media si difende benissimo. Nessuna aberrazione cromatica o distorsione ai lati, montato su OMD EM-5 con ottica 12-40 pro fa il suo lavoro. Fornito con comoda custodia metallica che protegge l’articolo durante il trasporto donando eleganza al vostro kit fotografico. Lo ricomprerei? Preso come primo filtro per sperimentare le lunghe esposizioni. Misura per il 27 mm pancake fuji. Ottimo , molto contento dei risultati. Qualità ottima
