Military Inspired Crossbody Messenger Bag Laptop Case Backpack Black CanvasI bought this bag on December 9, 2014 and it arrived December 18, 2014 a day before its arrival day (And most importantly before Christmas!) which is an A+.When i got this bag the first thing i noticed was the Pirate patch, most reviews on here complained about the patch and honestly i was amused by it! I love vintage and i love all things pirates! and most of all, i thought the patch was going to be a printed patch but instead the pirate skull was fine metal!Okay, let's get to the bag itself. The bag was a little too big then average, but that's okay! That means i can add all my College junk in it and not worry to carry by hand!I had 0 malfunctions so far and i saw no malfunctions on the bag, the bag is very sturdy and pleasant to carry. The strap is of cloth canvas material and it's comfortable. What was rather disappointing was the Laptop compartment (whole reason i bought the bag), it was small and it only fits small to small-medium laptops, the area was about the width of an iPad, it had decent padding and a canvas/velcro strap from the divider to hold your laptop in, i have an Hp15 laptop (around 15in wide), i would say the compartment that isn't for the laptop is around 16 inches so my laptop fit in that compartment, which is okay! the laptop compartment is around 13-14 inches. The two outer pockets were a plus, they are very convenient and they are roomy as well, they expand so you can add many goodies in them. The pockets at the sides were deep and about the length of a standard pen.All in all i would recommend anyone getting this bag, for vintage lovers, lovers of pirates, or simply someone who just needs a laptop bag!

Not what I expected
I wish I could return it . It's definitely not for constant use. I'm a college student and even though it's spacious, it's not sturdy. The patch or buckle on the pockets fell off on the first week. Buttoning up the front pockets its time consuming and awkward. The buckle also fell off on the second wee and the zipper gets stuck. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's cheap, but it looks nice-ish.
The materials aren't as nice as I was hoping. Everything feels very thin and cheap. The metal buttons are actually push pins, which have a tendency to want to come out. Since they are push pins, however, they are very easy to put back in, but they really shouldn't be so easy to take out in the first place. The metal hook that keeps the bag shut is smooth on one side and rough on the inside, making the thing feel unfinished. The pocket buttons have the word "jeans" written on them in a silly 90's-looking font, which distracts from the pirate motif. Despite all of this, I've received complements about how good the bag looks, so at least it's not embarrassing to bring in public.Long story short, this bag is a lot more showy than functional. if you often carry heavy books, you might tear through it, though after three months, that hasn't been my experience yet. I haven't used it as a laptop bag, and I definitely wouldn't start as there is almost no padding for the laptop-holding section.

Looks good at first
Looks good at first, lasts about a month before everything starts unpinning and falling off. Lost the pirate the first month of use and then every single thing broke and the little pins and buttons just fell off.

Good bag for the price.
First, the not so good points! The metal skull and crossed swords look rather odd on this bag and come off easily. The two front pouches (as most people have been saying in their reviews) do not close well and I suspect the cords for them will take a while to break in. Black for this bag is also more of a cool, medium grey. The laptop compartment could use some padding on the bottom of it too. What I DID like: ALL of my stuff fits in this bag - and I really do mean all of it. The shoulder strap is long enough to fit me comfortably even though I'm pretty tall and doesn't seem to slide as badly as the synthetic woven fabric straps do. My laptop fits (though it's a 13" laptop so this one's a duh).....Did I mention all of my stuff fits in this bag including a 2 liter of soda, a bunch of tea stuff, one of those shake bottles and various girly stuff? All in all this was a good buy for me. We shall see how it holds up to wear, tear, and kitties.

Messenger bag
The bag holds everything that I need it to; it fits my laptop when I need it and it holds multiple full size textbooks for school. The pockets definitely come in handy. This way I don't have to carry a purse and a backpack to college, because this handily combines them.My only mild complaint is that in every picture (on my computer at least) the bag appears to be navy blue even though in the description it says black, so I got this bag hoping that it would be more of a navy blue color, but it is definitely black. Also, the silver colored piece used to clasp the top fold looks kind of cheap. But I am still happy with the bag!

It wasn't a bad bag at all
It wasn't a bad bag at all. I used it for about 2 years. I should mention that the color is not as blue as the picture shows but it still doesn't look bad.The riveted bindings on the flaps to the pouches did fall off and in my experience even with them still on the bag, the straps did not like to stay secured to the buttons. The strap is nice and the adjustment works well. All in all I was satisfied and if you are in need of a bag to carry around a light laptop or tablet this will be well suited.4/5 price to "performance" ( I guess performance is the right word"3/5 on advertising appropriate color3/5 on durability ( would be 5/5 but as I mentioned I did have some minor pieces fall off on me)
