The Power of Hope: Let God Renew Your Mind, Heal Your Heart, and Restore Your Dreams Paperback – May 6, 2014

One of my favorite books on Hope. A great companion to the Bible.

This book fanned the fading embers of hope in my heart, making it seem possible to once again, "live by faith and not by sight." My hope is restored; my expectancy is revived! Jesus is Lord and my hope is renewed in the unfailable promises of His Word.

This book is incredible. I get bored fast with books. Hard to pay attention or it drags on or I get the gist early on. This kept me intrigued chapter by chapter and I learned a ton… I read a chapter a morning as a devotional along with “threads of hope in a frazzled world” by JoNell Butch Gerland which i read a chapter a morning and it just deeply touched my heart and changed my perspective on everything!!! And this is coming from someone who has a lot of unfinished Christian books lying around the whole house! I finished both of these!

I am slowly devouring Dutch Sheets' books. This one was timely for me and spoke volumes of the impact of suffering the impact of hope deferred. I know I need to read this again to get all the benefit of it, but it gave me such joy to know I was not alone in my feelings.

I found this book very thought provoking and excellent reading. If you are dealing with depression and don't feel like you are ready to discuss your feelings or where your head is at with anyone, read this book. It gives you many references to Scriptures in the Bible that stresses you are not alone. God is there ready to listen to your problems at any time of day or night. Just open your heart to Jesus and BELIEVE through faith that He will be there for you. I recommend this book to anyone who needs to be reminded that we all struggle with the daily stuff and that we don't have to. This book is a great start to getting a breakthrough thorough faith.

Dutch is as inspiring here as in his Give Him 15 daily prayer. He is a spiritual gentleman who connects us to God with renewal and heartfelt encouragement.

Since my husband's brain injury, life has been very difficult. I've been holding on to faith, making declarations, praying for healing....and although he is very slowly improving, it's been very discouraging. I had purchased a hard copy of this book a while back & purchased the kindle version to make it more portable. It has been very encouraging to hold onto hope - sometimes all I have left!

This book by Dutch Sheets is a grace gift for those believers who battle discouragement and depression. It is insightful, easy to read and not very long all of which are helpful for a person trying to find the motivation to read anything. Even if you don't suffer from these ailments, buy it as a resource to give to those who do struggle. I'm lending my copy to a brother tomorrow.

Very helpful book personally. The prayers at the end of each chapter are very helpful when your struggling to have faith to pray.

Great to have ready access to such material.
